Strange 
Species

To be a human alive at this time - the time when our planet and all living things are facing catastrophic shifts in the environment - is genuinely surreal. I use art to capture components of our modern human strangeness - weaving between collage and painting to reflect our species' complexity, our shared vulnerabilities, the pressure of our own denial, and our tender, painful past that drives us to an uncertain future.

My hope is to highlight the modern paradox of human life - both the ridiculousness of turning away from the existential problems of the planet, and 

the necessity to "go on" despite the crises unfolding around us.
